ABOUT THE ACADEMY

The Agenda 2063 Academy is a practitioner-oriented learning platform designed to strengthen the institutional disciplines required to realize The Africa We Want.

The Academy operates within the continental governance framework for Agenda 2063 implementation, while retaining full operational independence in curriculum design, certification standards, and quality assurance.

The Executive Council of the African Union, through Decision EX.CL/Dec.1315(XLVII), supported the operationalization and scaling-up of the Agenda 2063 Academy and invited Member States to adopt the curriculum and modalities for integration into national and regional training institutions, with a focus on youth engagement.

The Academy’s programmes focus on strengthening the systems that enable Agenda 2063 to be owned, financed, delivered, and stewarded across institutions and generations.

THE 2026 COURSES

Six domain-focused traineeships strengthen critical system functions for the Decade of Acceleration of Agenda 2063:

1. Agenda 2063 in Power Spaces
2. Agenda 2063 in Media Spaces
3. Agenda 2063 in Local Authorities
4. DRM Ecosystems
5. Delivery of Development Plans
6. Multilevel Governance for Agenda 2063

Each course runs 12 weeks (18 contact hours).

Cohorts activate once 30–40 qualified participants are confirmed.

TWO TRACKS

Executive Track

For senior institutional leaders responsible for policy, financing, delivery, and governance.

Professional Track

For practitioners strengthening institutional routines within their sphere of influence.

• Screened admission
• Applied institutional deliverables
• Certified Practitioner designation
• Fee: USD 500

Each participant completes:

• Letter from the Future – Vision Discipline
• Delivery Note – Execution Discipline
• Stewardship Note -Continuity Discipline
• Final Reflection -Professional Accountability

Certification is earned upon meeting standards.

SPONSORSHIP AND INSTITUTIONAL ENROLLMENT

Government ministries, development partners, financial institutions, and media organizations may sponsor defined cohorts.

Block enrollment and sponsorship structures available upon request.

Sponsors do not influence curriculum or certification standards.

Enrollment is processed on a rolling basis.

Cohorts activate once qualified participant thresholds are reached.
