OUR IDEOLOGY
Development succeeds when Leaders Practice Three Disciplines with Consistency and Integrity:
- Tell the Story
- Deliver Results
- Steward Value
This ideology reflects Africa’s shared commitments under Agenda 2063 – The Africa We Want and is aligned with the guidance of the African Union Executive Council, including Decision EX.CL/Dec.1315(XLVII) on Africa’s development.
It is grounded in the Story–Delivery–Stewardship leadership practice for development.
TELL THE STORY
Where are we going, and why?
Leadership begins with a clear and shared promise to citizens.
Telling the story clarifies the why of development: the change people should feel, the future being committed to, and the trade-offs leaders are prepared to make. It aligns national ambition with continental priorities and global commitments under Agenda 2063 and the SDGs, providing a single narrative that mobilizes institutions, partners, and society.
Telling the story prevents drift.
DELIVER RESULTS
What will change, by when, and how do we know?
Leadership is proven through delivery.
Delivering results turns direction into action. It converts development plans into execution, commitments into outcomes, and ambition into measurable progress. It focuses leadership attention on priority results, clear ownership, disciplined routines, and decision-making structures that remove bottlenecks.
Delivering results prevents stagnation.
STEWARD VALUE
How is value safeguarded and sustained over time?
Leadership is stewardship.
Stewarding value protects public trust, resources, institutions, and legitimacy, while ensuring that today’s progress strengthens tomorrow’s possibilities. It prevents fragmentation, and duplication, and embeds accountability mechanisms that outlast individuals and political cycles.
Stewarding value prevents erosion of value.
OUR BELIEF
To achieve The Africa We Want, development plans must be:
- Compelling in story
- Relentless in delivery
- Responsible in stewardship
