Partnerships for Development (P4D) announces the appointment of Dr. Frederick Mugisha as Executive Director, effective 5 January, 2026.

As Executive Director, Dr. Mugisha will lead P4D’s mission to mobilize strategic partnerships that strengthen Africa’s delivery of Agenda 2063 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Under his leadership, P4D will focus on closing a critical delivery gap by advancing certification programmes in Development Plans and Strategies, Domestic Resource Mobilization (DRM), and advance Living 7 Aspirations of Agenda 2063. P4D will also have a Green Badge for children and adolescents.

These certification programmes and the Green Badge are designed to directly support the implementation of African Union Executive Council Decision EX.CL/Dec.1315(XLVII), which mandates the operationalization and scaling up of the “Agenda 2063 Academy”, the establishment of a Register of Development Plans, and the rollout of the AU DRM Strategy (2024–2033).
